UVic Library Search Help

Tips for using the Library Search interface at the University of Victoria Libraries.

Renewing items online

You can easily renew items you have signed out from UVic Libraries using your Netlink ID. Click 'Sign in' at the top right of the LibrarySearch interface to login to your account. If you are starting from the library homepage, clicking 'My library account' will direct you to the same interface.

Community users are able to sign in using their library card numbers.

Once you are logged in, clicking your name as displayed at the top right corner will produce a drop-down menu.

Clicking on 'My Loans' will lead you to a page where you may view your active loans and request renewals online.

From the page below, you will be able to submit requests to renew your materials, as long as you have not reached the maximum number of renewals and the material has not been requested by another user.

If you are a distance student, there is a dedicated unit to support your collection requests. They can be reached by email at infoline@uvic.ca.
