UVicSpace staff contacts a potential community, or a potential community contacts UVicSpace to discuss the advantages of the institutional repository.
UVicSpace staff will provide a presentation/demonstration to groups upon request.
UVicSpace documentation is made available (policy documents, work flow options, etc.).
Community names a community coordinator (if possible).
Community defines and provides:
Community page information and logo.
Collection access policies.
Defaults for meta data submission form.
Collection page(s) information and logo.
Sub-community page(s) information and logo.
Completed work flow form for each collection: work flow details, and a list of authorized people for each work flow role (submitter, reviewer, meta data editor, coordinator).
UVicSpace provides:
The community web page.
Sub-community web page(s).
Collection web page(s).
Authorization to submit.
Access control as agreed upon with the community.
Work flow roles authorizations.
Training session(s) as requested by the community.
