Indigenous Hub

Overview

Historical maps, even those created by colonial powers, can inadvertently document Indigenous presence, traditional territories, place names, resource use, and travel routes prior to or during early contact. These maps can serve as crucial visual evidence in land claims and treaty negotiations, demonstrating long-standing connections to specific areas.
