Education - A Welcome to the Library for Faculty of Education Students

New undergraduate or graduate student in the Faculty of Education? Get a quick library orientation by viewing this library guide. And, most importantly, welcome to UVic Libraries! We're glad you're here.

Search the library catalogue

If you know the item you are searching for, such as the title of a journal or the author of a book, then searching the library catalogue (the 'Books & Media' tab on the library's home page) is often the quickest search strategy.

Search for physical items including books and media.

Call Numbers/Subject Headings

Check a floor map to locate a print book in the McPherson Library.

Select a Library of Congress subject heading to browse books in the UVic Libraries.  Remember, this is just a sampling of Education related subject headings.  Be sure to do your own search or ask a librarian for assistance.
