Submitting Works to Canadian Common CV

You can export your publications list from your personal ORCiD profile and upload them into the Canadian Common CV (CCV).

A. Exporting your works list from ORCiD

You can export a BibTeX file from ORCiD in four easy steps and upload it into the CCV site.

  1. Start from the Works section of your ORCiD profile
  2. Select the work(s) you would like to export.
  3. Under Actions, select Export Works to export the selected set of work(s), or choose Export all works to export all your works.

Steps to export works

  1. Review the selected works, then click Export selected works to BibTeX at the bottom of the page. The export will begin immediately and the BibTeX file will automatically download to your default download folder.

B. Uploading your work list to the Canadian Common CV website

Ensure that you have saved the BibTeX file from ORCiD in a location where you can retrieve it when prompted.

  1. In the CCV, click on the Utilities tab at the top of the page.
  2. Click on Import Publication from file.
  3. Select the source of the information
  4. In Step 3, attach the file and click Import.
  5. The system will prompt you to to indicate where each of the publications you are importing should be placed (e.g., Journal Articles, Book Chapters, etc.).
  6. Click on Confirm Import. Your publications should now be successfully imported.

Review your application before submitting to ensure that the publication information is correct.
