A guide to health information science resources at UVic Libraries

Data repositories

The Registry of Research Data Repositories (https://www.re3data.org/) is data repository searching tool and a good place to search for data sets.  Not all will be publicly available (some have restrictions) but it’s a nice centralized place to search across multiple data repositories for many subject areas.  Once you run a search, you can filter to the “open” ones, which should provide data sets that are not restricted.

UVic hosted data repositories:

Dataverse: https://dataverse.scholarsportal.info/dataverse/uvic

Other popular data repositories are:
Dryad: https://datadryad.org/stash
Figshare: https://figshare.com/
(Again, not everything will be open, some will be restricted or have limited access)
