Diversify Your Sources

The library guide provides resources and strategies to find diversity voices in learning and research.

UVic Context

Culturally Responsive & Inclusive Pedagogy Toolkit

This library resource guide idea originated from focus group interviews conducted in 2023 on the UVic campus by Aditi Gupta, Ying Liu, Ted Suzuki, and Dr. T.C. Lin. The data revealed that faculty wanted librarians to introduce resources that included scholarship and knowledge that represented diverse perspectives not commonly found in academic journals. In response to these findings, we developed the Culturally Responsive & Inclusive Pedagogy Toolkit. Some of the search strategies included in this guide are derived from the toolkit. Additionally, the Diversify Your Sources guide complements the toolkit by emphasizing UVic Library collections that promote diversity.
