Gender Studies - A Welcome to the Library for Gender Studies Students

Browsing journals is a great way to see the latest trends and research in your discipline's top journals.  However, if you have a particular topic and are not sure which journal an article may be in, then searching a journal database would be more effective than journal browsing.

Some students find it helpful to browse current issues to get a sense of what the leading trends are.  The journals listed below are just a small handful, UVic Libraries subscribes to many more.  To target your search by concept and not just to journal title, search the library, Women's Studies International, Feminist periodical, and Alternative Press Index.
