HSTR330 A02 Researching Indigenous Rights, Title and Reconciliation in Canada

This guide is designed to provide research help to students in HSTR 330 A02.

Call Numbers

Books on Indigenous people or topics may be found anywhere in the library, depending on their main topic or theme, but are often found at E78 - E99.  This is located on the 3rd Floor Mezzanine in McPherson Library. Books on the legal aspects of this topic will be found in the Law Library (Faser Building) or, if in the Main Library, in the K call number area.  Governance aspects will be in the J section, etc.

Below are some subject headings that will help you find books, regardless of where they are shelved. Note that subject headings change and evolve over time - the book's subject headings reflect how the topic was considered at the time of cataloguing, not currently.

Search the library catalogue

The most efficient way to find books in our library is to use the Books & Media search - find it at UVic.ca/library (It's the second tab) or use this search box to get started.

Search for physical items including books and media.
