Scopus: introduction & overview

A Scopus account is not required to search Scopus.

For subscribers with a Scopus account, signing in to your account enables the following functions: 

• Save searches
• Create lists
• Set up alerts
• Monitor authors
• Set preferences for reference management tools
• Access your dashboard

To access these options, at the top right-hand corner, sign in with your existing Elsevier account details (same credentials across all Elsevier products) or create an account using your uvic.ca email address.  

From your personal dashboard, you can:

• See author correction requests
• Access Scopus support
• Edit or delete saved searches
• Edit or delete saved lists (authors, documents, sources)
• Edit or delete reference management settings
• Review and edit your privacy options
• Set and manage alerts
