Education - Children's Literature in the Classroom

A guide for locating grade-appropriate children's literature for use in the classroom.

Resources to locate banned or challenged books in Canada and beyond

The Book and Periodical Council (BPC) of Canada organizes 'Freedom to Read" week in mid-February every year.  Their comprehensive website also includes a database of challenged books in Canada.  Also helpful is their 91-page selective list which goes back to the early 1970s.

The American Library Association also has a comprehensive website of banned book lists, Freedom to Read week supplies, and how to report a banned or challenged book.
