Take Action on Academic Integrity

Things you can do to work with integrity.

Take Action!

A diagram showing several ways to promote academic integrity, including self care, seeking help, and more.

It's up to you!

Learning is not always easy. Workload, competing priorities and your life outside of school can sometimes feel like a lot to deal with.   We  know that the following stressors or conditions can cause students to look for shortcuts in their academic work:

  • When you have an opportunity to cheat
  • When you believe you are  disadvantaged if they don't ("everyone is doing it")  or when you believe you'll get a better grade if you cheat
  • When you aren't interested or engaged in a class or assignment, or don't see the point of it - lack of engagement
  • When you lack the skills to do the assignment

All students  - even the 'best' students - can feel this temptation, especially when there are opportunities all around, and these are widely advertised!
