Knowledge Mobilization

This guide provides an introduction to the concept of knowledge mobilization as well as resources and examples of knowledge mobilization.

Getting Started

For some introductory guidelines on how to plan effective knowledge mobilization, click on the image below to see the slides for "Knowledge Mobilization: Tell Your Research Story Persuasively; or, Death by PowerPoint?" by Rich McCue, manager of the Digital Scholarship Commons.

Guidelines and Resources

Many organizations and funding agencies have guidelines on effective knowledge mobilization (also referred to as knowledge translation in fields such as health research), including the Tri-Agencies: the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). See the links below for information and resources from these bodies and organizations such as the Modern Language Association and Research Impact Canada.
