Why Peer review?

Peer review is an important step in the research life cycle. All scientific research must go through the peer review process in order to be published. Peer reviewers will generally check for all of the following to ensure the articles being published are fit to be published:
 
  • Research validity
  • Gaps in research
  • Novel research idea
  • Potential flaws in methodology, results, conclusion, statistics, etc.
  • Tests and Data is accurate
  • Reproducibility and replication
