Always be aware of UVic generative AI guidelines and policies.

Due to privacy and safety concerns, personal data and private research data must never be uploaded into any AI. UVic also restricts the use of DeepSeek on the UVic network and for UVic-owned devices.

How to use GenAI ethically

It highlights the benefits of these tools for enhancing learning and creativity while emphasizing the importance of ethical considerations, including academic integrity, data privacy, intellectual property, environmental impact, and Indigenous data sovereignty.
