In order to help you obtain the full text to online content, UVic Libraries uses a tool called a link resolver which routes you to the full text (if available) in our collection. Occasionally linking errors do occur. This can be due to databases being temporarily down as well as other factors. When this happens there are a few other ways you can find the full text. Some of the more common workarounds you can try are displayed on this page. If you still can't find the full text, contact us for assistance.
Let's say you're trying to access the full text of this article...
...but the link to the full text is taking you to a blank or incorrect page:
Go to the Libraries' homepage (http://www.uvic.ca/library), click on the Search options menu, and choose Journal & newspaper titles. Enter the title of the journal (not the title of the article) into the search box.
Look at the year your article was published and choose the link to the database that includes that year.
Find the list of issues for the journal and find the corresponding year, volume and issue identified in your article citation.
Scan the table of contents for the article you are seeking:
Congratulations, you've found the article!
