Read the articles you retrieved from Step 2. and use an evidence matrix or table keep track of articles’ content.

Evidence matrices help researchers identify connections and discrepancies among sources in a systematic way by organizing and summarizing key points or arguments from multiple sources related to a specific concept or theme, highlighting commonalities and differences.

Tips for selecting articles:

  • Find a pivotal article - clarifies relationships between different lines of research

  • Read older review articles (5-10yrs.) 

  • Read selectively

  • Choose readable articles
