The following guide provides an overview of medieval and early modern books, documents, and fragments held in UVic Libraries Special Collections.

Medieval and Early Modern Manuscripts at UVic Libraries

University of Victoria Libraries Special Collections stewards a number of medieval and early modern codices, documents, and fragments. Documents include deeds, charters, letters, and a papal bull. The collection also includes Books of Hours, John Lydgate's Fall of Princes, and extracts from the Bartholomeus Anglicus encyclopaedia De Proprietatibus Rerum (On the Properties of Things).

Facsimile images for some of the manuscripts are available through UVic Libraries Digital Collections.
