ATWP 135 Library Guide

Guide to using UVic Libraries for ENGL135 students - or any student new to UVic!

Hi!  I'm Tina Bebbington, your subject librarian for Academic and Technical Writing.  I work closely with your instructors to understand their expectations, so that I can help you meet them.   I can help you with research questions, finding sources, evaluating or assessing sources, citation, academic integrity, research skills, staying organized, and much more.  When we combine my librarian skills with your subject knowledge, we're an unstoppable team.

I am one of many people on campus here to help you learn and grow as students.  Here's a few things I'd like you to know:

  • Ask me anything! I'm here for research, citation, library, sources, and technical questions, but If I can't help, I probably know who on campus can.
  • Ask me however you need to  - if your question isn't fully formed yet, we can talk it through.
  • Ask me, as often as you need  - your research needs change over time, as you work through assignments or level up your skills.
  • Ask me, before you feel really stressed out.  Do the advance work, but seek help before you become really frustrated.

Use the info in the box on the left to reach me, via email, appointment, chat etc., and I look forward to learning about your research projects.
