Welcome

This guide is designed to help get you started with your library research for information produced by international government organizations (IGO's).  IGOs are organizations made up of member states that have signed a treaty or charter.  IGO's have a geographical or a subject focus. IGO's produce official documents, publications, and statistics.

  • Documents record the operations of the IGO.
  • Publications gather and disseminate infomration related to the IGO's focus.
  • Statistical databases provide demographic and socio-economic data about the IGO and its member states.

Documents and publications are most often distributed in electronic format, as electronic books and statistical databases. IGO's may provide free access to digital libraries of documents and publications.  If free resources are not available,  or the Library considers purchasing access.

Select a tab above for library research information about a specific IGO.
