Course Reserves Reading Lists for Students

Welcome to the Course Reserves Reading Lists for Students libguide. This new online tool will function as the primary source for course readings and resources.

Before you begin

Before creating your Reading List, have the following information ready:

  • Course Code and Section and course name
  • Term in which the course will take place
  • A copy of your syllabus or reading list

Create a Reading List

  1. The first time you access the Course Reserves Reading List you will see a help wizard on the welcome screen. Select Close.


 

  1. Select Create It to add sections and citations to your reading list.
    Alternatively, you can send your course reading list as a pdf to our Syllabus Service and we will create a reading list for you.


 

  1. Enter a title and an optional description, and click Create


 

  1. Next, choose a template structure that mirrors your reading list

Add Sections to Reading List

If you chose to use a blank template structure for your reading list, you can manually create sections based on a naming convention you prefer.

  1. To add a section, click New Section


 

  1. Enter the title of the section and optional description. The dates are for sections that divide the reading list into time units.


 

  1. You can always edit the section’s details by clicking the Options menu and select Edit Section.


 

  1. You can easily change the order of the sections by clicking and dragging.
