Created to support UVic course LAW 326, Labour Law, with Prof. Odelia Bay.
For reference in BC and Canadian labour law research generally.
This excerpt from Prof Bay's preliminary course description, 2014-2015, gives context to this guide:
This course provides an opportunity for you to learn about the legal principles that govern the management-union relationship, particularly under British Columbia’s Labour Relations Code. Our focus will be a comprehensive overview of the substantive law of collective bargaining. This focus will be situated within the history of Canadian law and politics, as well as the larger schema of employment-related law and legislation. I also hope that I am able to give you a sense of what it is like to work in this field of law.
This content in this guide loosely follows the foregoing LAW 326B course description and course syllabus.
