Museum Studies, or Museology, is a research area of museum history and museum's internal functions and external role in society. This libguide provides starting point of research into various aspects of Museum Studies. Each topic page lists related Library of Congress subject headings, useful book and ebook titles, and other resources. The "General Reference & Databases" page shows you several reference materials and journal article databases. It also includes some online visual image databases of museum collections throughout the world (e.g., Artstor). The guide is not meant to be an exhaustive bibliography of books on museum studies in the Library, but it is rather an introductory step for a vast resources in this subject.
