Using Business Source Complete look out in particular for commentary by management academics, consultants and practitioners on what's most useful in current leadership theory and practice, but written for professional managers and practitioners, rather than strictly academic.
Keep an eye out for articles from Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, and Organizational Dynamics.
Follow up with some targeted news searches for articles or interviews using library subscription news databases and/or Google News. Start with the individual's name and the company name and add more keywords if necessary.
News is sometimes our only source of external information about a small or private company. Look out for news or interviews with CEOs and founders which can provide really current and up to date information about a company’s performance, products, problems, actions, and strategy.
Searching Google and Google News can also help you turn up interviews via Podcasts, Youtube or other media - be wary of findings though, and be sure to properly evaluate sources.
Check the company's website for anything written by the individual you are researching - investor information pages, press releases, or a message from the CEO. If you can find an annual report or other company filings these will likely have discussion from leadership. Each of these may give you insight in to a leader's actions which you can analyze in your report.
