Find Print & eBooks via the Summon 2.0 Search Option

Find print and eBooks via Summon 2.0, the Libraries' interdisciplinary search & discovery service. Enter topic keywords and once the result set is displayed, filter the results by the Book/eBook Content Type.

Summon is an intuitive and fast search engine that helps you discover relevant information on any topic from the University of Victoria Libraries collections. It searches through our collection of books, scholarly journals, newspaper articles. Rather than searching for all of these things in separate databases, Summon provides a single unified search box.e-books, dissertations, videos, maps, manuscript collections, music scores and more.

Find Print & eBooks via the the Libraries Catalogue

Enter your search terms into the Libraries' Catalogue. When the search result displays, consider the "Refine your results" menu options located at the right on the results page. Select a title of interest to see the full record.

If you have selected an electronic book, click on the Web Link in the record to connect to the e-Book on the publishers website.

If you have selected a print book, note the Call Number and the "Show me Where" link in the right hand panel to see a floor map where the book is shelved.

Faculty members can select the Re:Quest option in the menu located at the right of the book record. Print books will be delivered to on campus offices. Information on the Re:Quest Service is found at
