SAGE Research Methods is a remarkable new tool created to help faculty, librarians, and students with their research projects. SAGE Research Methods links book, journal, and reference content with instructional materials on research methods concepts that help researchers design projects, understand particular methods, conduct research, and write up findings.
Reference books and other tertiary resources are often overlooked sources of scholarly knowledge. If you want a great definition of a method that goes beyond wikipedia, I highly recommend these titles held by UVic Libraries. Remember that research methods are used by scholars across multiple disciplines. Many of these titles will not be found specifically in the Education call number range (Ls), but across the Social Sciences in call number ranges such as H. If you come across other titles that were helpful, let me know, I will add them to this list. Finally, there are hundreds of teritary sources on research methods, this list indicates titles held by UVic Libraries with a focus on those that were published in 2012 and later. Many earlier titles can be found in our collection if you search the catalogue.
