Review process and corrections

After you deposit your thesis, Graduate Admissions and Records Office (GARO) staff will review your files to ensure proper formatting.

Then, UVic Libraries staff will review your metadata (i.e. everything you entered in the submission form).

While your thesis is being reviewed, it will be labelled in Your submissions pool as Review in progress.

You will be informed of its successful approval via email. The successful submission will still be visible in Your submissions pool, now labelled as Archived.

Follow these steps if GARO requires corrections or modifications to your submission:

  1. Log In to UVicSpace.
  2. Go to your Profile --> MyUVicSpace.
  3. Under Your Submissions --> Edit your thesis/dissertation.
  4. In the submission form, Upload Files --> delete the existing file.
  5. Upload the corrected file by dragging and dropping it anywhere on the page.
  6. Make sure you enter the embargo date on your new file. Refer to steps 19.1 - 19.4 of Begin your submission.
  7. Deposit.
